The ADSL has fallen over again, meaning not only do we not have internet access at the moment, but also my site is offline. One of the drawbacks of hosting the site myself.
It's quite annoying, especially as it fell over not long before Christmas. That was something to do with BT having knocked it off and I wonder if the same is true again today. What makes it worse is the fact that Freeola (who supply me broadband via BT) cannot tell me anything. They say they have no network problems but they can't do any checks on my line as their technical people don't work weekends.
I'm sure I don't really need to say it, but that seems pretty stupid to me. There must be cases quite frequently when people's service falls over on weekends and there is no-one to help them. I should demand a refund for the days when I don't have internet access which probably will be until Monday at the earliest but maybe Tuesday.
In other things, there's a whale in London believe it or not (well you'll have to believe it actually. BBC News 24 have been covering it all day). It's an 18ft Northern Bottle-Nose whale. I have no idea why it thought going for a swim in the Thames was a good idea but I bet it doesn't think so now.
