Celebrity Big Brother is currently showing on TV at the moment. One of the housemates is George Galloway, MP Bethnall Green & Bow.
I have to say I don't think it's an MPs place to be taking part in a reality television programme.
He has been elected to represent the people of his constituency in government. He can't do that if he is cut off from the real world in a television show.
There's a prime example of this as well. A discussion on the Cross Rail project took place this week which I believe also involved a vote. Cross Rail directly affects Mr Galloway's constituency, but because he is in the Big Brother house, he can't be properly involved. Instead he simple has made sure his concerns have been voice beforehand - hardly the same as being there in person is it?
If you ask me, all he is interested in is making his name known rather than doing proper politics.

My PHP work is still coming along nicely. I've pretty much stopped work on the blog completely now and as I've said before, am working on file uploads.
The front page of Ben Gamblin Online now contains a link to a file store which displays uploaded files by category, or all files in alphabetical order.
The main work is now behind the scenes in making sure I can reliably update files and categories and soon I'll be working on linking files to blog entries.
