I was quite pleased with myself yesterday.
For the first time, Kate and myself managed to successfully cook a rather delicious Sheppard's Pie! It's not often we cook proper foods, and previously our cook book had only extended to Spaghetti Bolognese and one Lasagna. But not only that - I managed to make myself some Rice Pudding - one of my favourite desserts. Kate doesn't like it so I got the whole dish!
I was surprised at how easy it was to make it actually. Just takes a long time to cook (about 2 1/2 hours). I also struggled at what recipe to use - there seems to be loads all differing slightly. Here's the one I used:
Ingredients:
15g Butter
600ml Milk
2 tbsp Sugar
50g Pudding Rice
1/4 tbsp Cinnamon
Method
Preheat Oven to 150ยบ C (fan assisted)
Take one 1.1L greased bowl (I greased it with the butter)
Put in the butter, milk, sugar and rice and stir
Put into the oven for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes
Leave to cook for a further 1 hour
Sprinkle cinnamon over the top
Leave to cook until golden brown
Job done!
My next dessert will probably be an attempt at Bread Pudding - another one of my favourites and another that Kate doesn't like so all the more for me! :-)
So today then. Well I planned everything for Magic up to the last link, got Radmin ready to upload it and what do I go and do? I delete the lot. By accident I deleted the wrong selection from within Radmin which meant that nothing went into the recycle bin. That meant that I wasn't on air this evening.
At 8:10, Kate and Myself went to the cinema to catch what was initially going to be Collateral, but since neither of us where to sure what it was about, we saw the 8:40pm showing of Cellular instead. A very good film if you ask me and surprisingly short. We went out by 10:30pm. I've reviewed the film here.
I'm still working on that holiday account and it is slowly taking shape. Don't worry I haven't forgotten.
